We would normally say 4-6 weeks, sticking to the daily recommendations for the dog or cat's weight. It does vary depending on the pet and the individual case.

Question:
EPA, DHA, GLA – why do we choose these active ingredients?

Answer:
EPA and DHA are specific omega-3s derived from fish oil (in our case high grade salmon oil). GLA is an omega-6 derived from certain plants including Starflower (borage) and Evening Primrose Oil). All three have anti-inflammatory properties in the skin and can therefore help itchiness associated with sensitivities.

Question:
Can your products be used with prescription –only medicines?

Answer:
Yes. All of our products are completely natural, therefore can be used in conjunction with most prescription-only medicines. For confirmation on a specific product please call your Veterinary Business Development Executive or head office on 01462 790886.

Question:
Are there any adverse effects using products from the YuDERM range?

Answer:
EFAs are well tolerated by most dogs but there are some that cannot cope with additional oils in their diet resulting in loose stools or diarrhoea. This can minimised by introducing the oils very gradually over 2 weeks. Immediate recurrence of diarrhoea would suggest oil supplements are unsuitable. Dogs with pancreatitis require a low-fat diet and so the YuDERM range would not be recommended in these cases.
