Mobility Matters Update

We hope you have been enjoying taking part in our Mobility Matters programme. We’ve got some exciting news about nurse led clinics in 2018…

Thanks to everyone for their great feedback on our Mobility Matters support kit. We’re pleased to say we are going to continue to support this programme right the way through to March. You can also look forward to it returning again in Autumn/ Winter of 2018. Of course, if you want to keep running the programme all year round you can certainly do that too and we know that some of you are finding it to be an essential source of support to owners.

Tracy Howells of Green Hollow vets is one of the nurses getting involved with the Mobility Matters programme. The practice started off with a team meeting involving everyone from front of house, to the vets and nurses. This ensured that clients could be referred to the clinics easily by all members of staff. With lots of working dogs already using YuMOVE, Tracy says the team already had confidence in the product and the Lunch and Learn event delivered by Lintbells Veterinary Business Development Manager Victoria gave them ideas on how to set up the clinic.

“We’ve lots of advice to give about supporting dogs with stiff joints and how their lives can be made easier,” says Tracy. With the colder weather coming in the practice expects to see more patients with needs in this area over the next few months. Contributing to an article in a local magazine should also help raise awareness and ensure a flow of patients in addition to those referred internally.

Having all the tools available and extra support to launch Mobility Matters has made a big difference to Green Hollow and let them get their new service under way really quickly.

Mobility Matters has been so successful that we are looking to add some additional resources in 2018 to help support the nurse clinics that practices have been able to put in place. If you’ve got any feedback for us about what you would like to see in the future in the pack, what you found most useful, or a great tip that really helped you get your clinic up and running, please let us know.

We really do love to hear your success stories and it’s been a pleasure to hear that the Mobility Matters programme has made it easier to involve the whole team in helping clients care for their pets. Long may it continue!
