In Detail
HELPS REDUCE STRESS Lemon Balm Lemon balm is scientifically proven to work on Gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels which are responsible for reducing excitability in the central nervous system. Increased GABA helps the cat feel more relaxed, easing stress and encouraging calm behaviour. L-Tryptophan L-Tryptophan is an amino acid that is metabolised into serotonin in the brain and proven to decrease stress related behaviours. |

Question:
What age can this product be used from?
Answer:
We recommend using this product in cats over 10 months old, as the neuronal pathways are fairly developed by this age. The first year of life is particularly important for socialisation, as well as habituation.
Question:
Can YuCALM Cat be given during pregnancy or lactation?
Answer:
We do not recommend using this product in pregnant or lactating queens. We have not specifically studied this product in pregnancy/lactation for ethical reasons, so cannot recommend use.
Question:
Can YuCALM Cat be given to cats with kidney disease?
Answer:
YuCALM Cat is in a sprinkle capsule, so there is no tablet binder present. This means this is a phosphate free product, and can be given to cats with CKD.
Question:
Can YuCALM Cat be given to cats with heart problems?
Answer:
There are no known contraindications using YuCALM Cat in cats with heart problems. Use in ill or debilitated cats has not been specifically studied, so we advise using the product with precaution and monitor the level of effect of the product and underlying condition closely.
Question:
Can YuCALM Cat be given alongside other calming products?
Answer:
The product can be given with pheromones, but interactions with other calming products or medications have not been specifically studied. Caution and monitoring is advised if the cat is on other products working on the neurotransmitter pathways, as there may be some additive or synergistic effects.
Question:
Why is there L-Tryptophan in this product, and not in YuCALM Dog?
Answer:
There is more scientific evidence to support its use in cats than dogs.
