In Detail

AIDS STIFF JOINTS
YuMOVE Dog’s premium natural formula helps in three ways: soothing stiffness, supporting long-term joint health and helping mobility.

SUPPORTS JOINT STRUCTURE

Glucosamine HCl and Chondroitin

YuMOVE Dog uses Glucosamine HCl and Chondroitin Sulphate to provide structural support to the joint. These components provide the building blocks of cartilage synthesis, enabling maintenance of joint structure.

PROMOTES MOBILITY

Hyaluronic Acid
A principle component of the synovial fluid, Hyaluronic Acid is normally produced from Glycosaminoglycan precursors internally. However, a recent study by Balogh et al  has demonstrated that oral administration of a specific form of Hyaluronic Acid in dogs can be shown to accumulate in key areas in the body including the joints and vertebrae within 2 hours of consumption.

Vitamins C & E
Vitamins C & E are included to provide antioxidant activity against free radicals produced during exercise, helping to maintain joint mobility.

ActivEase Green Lipped Mussel

Only Lintbells products include our unique ActivEase® Green Lipped Mussel. It’s one of the key ingredients in the YuMOVE range, and is sourced from specially selected crystal clear bays in New Zealand. Because of the specific growing conditions and unique cold vacuum extraction of Green Lipped Mussel, YuMOVE Dog provides significantly higher levels of Omega 3 EFAs – 4 x stronger than standard versions.

Daily Recommendations

If your clients’ dog is using YuMOVE Dog for the first time we suggest you recommend double the daily amount for the first 4-6 weeks.

For older or stiff dogs use the loading amount for the first 4-6 weeks.

Highly palatable to make it easier for clients to administer.

Question:
Are these products safe to give in pregnant/lactating bitches?

Answer:

For lactating bitches, there are no known contraindications. Whilst there are no known contraindications giving YuMOVE Dog to pregnant bitches, we have not studied this specifically from an ethical perspective. For the sake of 9 weeks, we would recommend stopping the product, and starting again once she has whelped.

Question:
What age can YuMOVE be given from?

Answer:

From a safety perspective, 8 weeks of age. However, the range has products suitable for different life stages. YuMOVE Active Dog is recommended for dogs under 7.

Question:
Can YuMOVE be given to dogs with pancreatitis?

Answer:

Yes, there are no known contraindications. The amount of fat per tablet is 2.8mg, so very low.

Question:
Can YuMOVE be given to dogs with kidney disease?

Answer:

YuMOVE Dog products contain dicalcium phosphate, a tablet binder, we would not recommend using in dogs with kidney disease. In order to still benefit from our products, these dogs can be given YuMOVE Cat (1 capsule per 5kg) or our human supplement, iMOVE (1 capsule per 10-15kg)

Question:
Can YuMOVE be given to dogs with urinary problems?

Answer:

In simple terms, yes. We would always ask that the owner checks with a vet to ensure they are happy for YuMOVE to be given in conjunction with any concurrent medication. There are some minerals in the product acting as tablet excipients which may be questioned. For struvite, when magnesium needs to be restricted, you can be reassured that there is 0.01g of magnesium stearate in the tablet, and only 0.0004g of magnesium. For calcium oxalate, there are very low quantities of calcium diphosphate and vitamin C in the tablet – not enough to contribute to these crystals forming. For cysteine, there is low protein in the tablet – approx. 0.2g. If the dog is on a purine restricted diet, we would suggest contacting the food manufacturers to see how much, if any, purine could be tolerated outside of the diet. As shellfish is a known source of purine, if they advise ‘none’, then we would not recommend YuMOVE.

Question:
Are there any medical conditions where YuMOVE Dog would be contraindicated?

Answer:

Apart from kidney disease, YuMOVE should be fine to give dogs who have concurrent diseases. We would, however, ask that you speak to a Lintbells representative to double check before starting the product.

Question:
Can YuMOVE be use alongside NSAIDs?

Answer:

Yes, this is fine. YuMOVE works on different pathways to NSAIDs, and using the two alongside one another can be very beneficial.

Question:
Do I need to induce vomiting if they overconsume YuMOVE Dog?

Answer:

An overdose is generally not a concern, it may result in gastrointestinal signs. We advise to treat symptomatically, monitor closely, and withdraw YuMOVE for a week before gradually introducing. Inducing emesis is not required – however, if there are pre-existing concerns about kidneys (i.e elderly dog who has recent symptoms of PUPD) we would suggest checking bloods to ensure kidney readings are under control.
