In Detail

AIDS THE BODY’S OWN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PROCESS

ActivEase® Green Lipped Mussel

Only YuRELIEVE ADVANCE for Cats contains ActivEase® Green Lipped Mussel which provides a unique combination of Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA, and ETA) to aid the natural anti-inflammatory action of the cat’s metabolism.

SUPPLIES THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF THE BLADDER LINING
Only YuRELIEVE ADVANCE for Cats supplies the 4 Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) (Chondroitin Sulphate, Dermatan Sulphate, Heparin Sulphate and Hyaluronic Acid) present throughout the urothelium.

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)

GAGs are key components of the basement membrane on which the transitional epithelial cells sit and form an essential part of proteoglycans in the deeper connective tissue layers of the bladder.

N-Acetyl D-glucosamine (NAG)
NAG is known to bind to lectins on urothelial cells and is found in the urothelium’s protective mucin layer.

NAG is also a precursor molecule for Glycosaminoglycans, which are found in the bladder surface.

SUPPORTS FELINE URINARY HEALTH

Tryptophan

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that is metabolised into serotonin in the brain and proven to decrease stress related behaviours in cats.

Question:
Can YuRELIEVE be used in cats with urinary problems?

Answer:

Yes, this is what the product is designed for. Just make sure conditions that may need other treatments, such as stones or urinary tract infections have been ruled out or are being treated separately.

Question:
Can YuRELIEVE be used in cats with hyperthyroidism?

Answer:

Yes – the traces of iodine are very small. If cats are on Hills Y/D diet, we would not recommend using this product.

Question:
Can YuRELIEVE be used in cats with kidney problems?

Answer:

There may be trace amounts of phosphate in the Green Lipped Mussel but this is negligible. The product is in a capsule, meaning there is no dicalcium phosphate as a tablet binder.

Question:
Can YuRELIEVE be used in pregnant queens?

Answer:

We do not recommend use in pregnancy.

Question:
Can YuRELIEVE be used throughout lactation?

Answer:

Not recommended for lactating queens

Question:
Are there any side effects?

Answer:

No known side-effects and no frequent adverse effects reported. However, like any new dietary change, sometimes adding YuRELIEVE into the cat’s diet may cause some mild gastrointestinal upset and diarrhoea in some rare cases. If this happens, it is usually mild and resolves itself.

Question:
How long does it take to work?

Answer:

You may start to see improvements within 1-2 weeks, However, every cat is different and up to 8 weeks of treatment should be allowed before assessing the full response to treatment.

Question:
What if my cat overdoses?

Answer:

An overdose is generally not a concern, it may result in diarrhoea. We advise to treat symptomatically (YuDIGEST) and withdraw YuRELIEVE for a week before gradually introducing. If concerned consult your vet.
