What age can it be used from?

No minimum age limit and can theoretically be used once the kitten is on to solids, although appropriate socialisation (ideally in a stress-free environment) is essential in younger cats and kittens to minimize the chances of a stress-induced cystitis.

Feline Interstitial Cystitis (FIC) is uncommon in cats <1 year old. If the product is needed in such a young cat, veterinary investigation is needed to confirm the cause of the urinary issues.

Why is there magnesium within YuMOVE Urinary Care? Is this a concerns for cats with struvite crystals?

Magnesium stearate is needed to help with the consistency of the powder. We know struvite crystals are a common concern in cats, so we have tested our capsules, and there is only a very small amount of magnesium within the capsules: 0.36mg Magnesium (0.09%).

Commonly used urinary food contain 0.02-0.07% magnesium equating to 13mg – 42mg of magnesium a day for a 4kg cat. In context this demonstrates the magnesium in YuMOVE Urinary Care is fairly minimal but is something we would recommend clients discuss with their vet.

Can YuMOVE Urinary Care for Cats be used alongside medication?

There are no known concerns to using YuMOVE Urinary Care alongside any medication. Please contact your Lintbells Veterinary Representative to discuss this if needed, or email vet@lintbells.com

We recommend increasing the administration amount by 1 capsule, for the first two weeks your clients are using YuMOVE Urinary Care.

Yes, there are no known concerns. There is some cross-over of ingredients, which you can consider as part of your recommendation.

Can YuMOVE Urinary Care be used in cats with hyperthyroidism?

There are no known contraindications to using YuMOVE in patients with hyperthyroidism and/or on medication to control hyperthyroidism, and we have had no reports of concern. However, this is not something we have specifically investigated. As a precaution we do not currently advise using YuMOVE for Cats for hyperthyroid cats on Hills Y/D diet.

What if my cat over consumes YuMOVE Urinary Care?

We have had no serious reports of over consumption with YuMOVE Urinary Care. There is a possibility of gastrointestinal signs. In pets with pre-existing conditions this should be considered in line with whether inducing emesis might be appropriate.

Can YuMOVE Urinary Care be used in all cats with urinary problems?

YuMOVE Urinary Care is designed to support urinary health. However, some urinary conditions - such as urolithiasis are often managed with diets; when pets are managed on specific diets we would recommend considering YuMOVE Urinary Care within that diet.

Can YuMOVE Urinary Care be used in cats with kidney problems?

There are no known contraindications to using YuMOVE Urinary Care in cases with kidney disease. That said, pets with kidney disease will often be managed on a specific diet, so we do recommend considering YuMOVE inline with this recommended diet. Kidney diseases are usually low phosphorus; YuMOVE Urinary Care has no added phosphorus, so is a low phosphorus product. Please contact your Lintbells Veterinary Representative to discuss this if needed.

Can YuMOVE Urinary Care be used in pregnant queens?

We do not recommend to use YuMOVE Urinary Care throughout pregnancy or lactation, as this is not something we have investigated.

Adverse reactions to any of the products are very uncommon, but allergies and intolerance are occasionally reported. We recommend clients speak to their vet before starting, if a pet has any illnesses or is on any medication.

How long does it take YuMOVE Urinary Care to work?

It take up to 6 weeks to see the full benefits of YuMOVE Urinary Care, but many customers have positive reports from 1-2 weeks of use.

    Are YuMOVE products all natural?

Our products contain many natural ingredients (but not exclusively natural ingredients) to offer nutritional support to pets.

Can YuMOVE products be used in conjunction with each other?

All of our products offer natural, nutritional support, therefore can usually be used alongside other products from the range. If you have any specific questions or concerns please reach out.

Do YuMOVE products have to be given with food?

No, the products can all be given with food, but are safe to administer on there own and often they will be taken as a treat. However, with our oil and powder based products we do recommend to mix with food, to make administration as easy as possible. We also recommend opening the cat capsules and sprinkling them, but these can also be fed within the capsules, depending on the cats preference.
