    What age can the YuMOVE Calming Care range be used from?

    There is no minimum age limit for using YuMOVE Calming Care for Dogs, although we always mention that proper training/socialisation is essential in younger dogs and puppies. YuMOVE Calming Care for Cats is suitable for cats from 10 months old.

    Can YuMOVE Calming Care One-A-Day Bites be used alongside calming medication?

    The YuMOVE Calming Care range can be used with scent-based and pheromone calming products, but interactions with other calming products or medications have not been specifically studied. We do recommend clients speak to their vet before starting YuMOVE Calming Care, if a pet has any illnesses or is on any medication. Caution and veterinary monitoring is advised if the pet is taking other products that also affect the GABA, serotonin or dopamine systems as it is possible there may be some additive or synergistic effects. Please contact your Lintbells Veterinary Representative to discuss this if needed.

    Can YuMOVE Calming Care One-a-day Bites be given to dogs with kidney problems?

    There are no known contrainidications to using YuMOVE in cases with kidney disease - apart from considering the supplement inline with the pet's diet. Our YuMOVE Calming Care for Cat capsules contain no added phosphorus so are the lowest phosphorus option (and can be used in dogs). The YuMOVE Calming Care chews are the lowest phosphorus option in the dog range, the tablets contain a tablet binder so have the slightly higher phosphorus than the chews.

    It can take up to 6 weeks of use to see full support of the YuMOVE Calming Care Range. That said, we generally recommend using for 1-3 weeks before stressful occasions (such as fireworks) and many customer report calm behaviour as quickly as after 1 week of administration.

    The YuMOVE Calming Care range can be used for pets that experience stress or anxiety. It can be useful for short-term worries (like fireworks or travel) or more long-term anxious behaviours.

    Are there any health conditions where use of the YuMOVE Calming Care range is not advised?

    If a pet is on medication or has any illnesses, we always recommend customers speak to their vet before starting a YuMOVE product. There are generally limited contraindications to using YuMOVE in pets with medical conditions, but when pets are managed on specific diets we would recommend considering YuMOVE Calming Care within that diet. Please do reach out your Lintbells Veterinary Representative to discuss suitability for specific pets.

    Do I need to give a loading amount when using the YuMOVE Calming Care range?

    No loading amount is needed for the YuMOVE Calming Care range - just give the maintenance amount regularly.

    What happens if a dog has more than the recommended daily amount?

    Usually at most pets will only appear sleepier, but we do recommend customers seek veterinary advice if they have any other concerns. In pets with pre-existing conditions, owners should considered this in line with whether inducing emesis might be appropriate. There is a small amount of salt within our One-a-day chew formula - so this should be considered if a pet eats a large number of chews or bites, as this could add up. Please contact our Customer Care Team to report an incident and/or discuss if needed.

    Are YuMOVE products all natural?

    Our products contain many natural ingredients (but not exclusively natural ingredients) to offer nutritional support to pets.

    Can YuMOVE products be used in conjunction with each other?

    All of our products offer natural, nutritional support, therefore can usually be used alongside other products from the range. If you have any specific questions or concerns please reach out.

    Do YuMOVE products have to be given with food?

    No, the products can all be given with food, but are safe to administer on there own and often they will be taken as a treat. However, with our oil and powder based products we do recommend to mix with food, to make administration as easy as possible. We also recommend opening the cat capsules and sprinkling them, but these can also be fed within the capsules, depending on the cats preference.

    Are there any products that shouldn’t be taken during pregnancy?

    Apart from the YuMOVE Digestive Care range we do not recommend to use of YuMOVE products throughout pregnancy, as this is not something we have investigated. However, please contact us if you would like some more information.
